The Clerk/Treasurer's office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. unless otherwise noticed or required. A drop box for payments of taxes and other municipal payments after hours is located at the rear of the City Hall to the left of the doors. (note: The City Clerk and Treasurer are now separate positions

The Montpelier City Council is seeking residents from District 2 who are interested in filling a vacant seat on the Montpelier City Council; this term will expire in March of 2016, at which time the appointed individual will have the option to run for re-election. Interested persons will need to provide a petition with at least 25, verified signatures of district registered voters, and the petitions will need to be submitted to the City Clerk by noon on Thursday, May 21, 2015. The City Council will make this appointment at their May 27th meeting; applicants are encouraged to attend. Questions: 223-9502.
