The Basement Teen Center
Located in the basement of Montpelier's City Hall (39 Main Street), The Basement Teen Center continues to be a be a growing, thriving, and creative spot for Central Vermont teens to hang out, have fun, and become leaders. It's an important resource and provides a wide range of benefits for area youth, such as:
- A safe, substance-free environment (adult supervised)
- Critical leadership and decision-making roles for teens
- Regular drop-in time that offers teens a place to socialize, play pool, draw, and relax. An average of 25 teens attend drop-in time each day.
- A variety of special activities, such as dances, outdoor activities, art workshops, community service opportunities, movie nights, group outings, and more …
- Special projects, such as Trees for Teens, running a logo contest, operating a snack bar, beautifying the outside entrance to The Basement at City Hall.
The Basement Teen Center is open for "Drop-In" time Mon.-Fri. from 3:00-6:00 PM and every Friday night from 7:00-11:00 PM.
