City Clerk / Treasurer

The City Clerk's office is where all the essential records of the municapality's operations are filed, maintained, and made available to the public. Some of the services include maintaining the vital records, processing documents submitted for recording in our land records, and collection of property tax payments, water and sewer payments, parking tickets, and other municipal charges.

Election of Clerk and Treasurer
Title IX Section 5. of the City Charter provides that "The City Clerk and City Treasurer shall be elected and after their election and qualification, may appoint one or more assistant city clerks and assistant city treasurers, respectively. In the event of a vacancy in the office of city clerk or city treasurer, the assistant city clerk or assistant city treasurer, respectively, shall assume the duties of such office until such time as the vacancy is filled."

Hours of Operation

The Clerk/Treasurer's office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. unless otherwise noticed or required.  A drop box for payments of taxes and other municipal payments after hours is located at the rear of the City Hall to the left of the doors.
