DIGITAL ORTHOPHOTOS
Digital Orthophotos covering the City of Montpelier are available from the Vermont Department of Taxes, Vermont Mapping Program. Because the files are so large, they cannot be dowloaded from a website - they must be ordered directly from the VT Mapping Program.

There are seven digital orthophoto sheets (or files) that cover the City of Montpelier. The digital sheets are about 62,500 KB each and all fit on one CD. The cost for ordering a CD is $55.00/CD-ROM, and $2.35 for postage. These are the file names for the Montpelier orthophoto sheets: #140192, #140196, #144192, #144196, #144200, #148192, #148196.

The source scale for the orthophotos is 1:5000 (1"=416.67').
