Audit Services Selection Process:
In March, the City of Montpelier solicited bids for audit services the fiscal year ending June 30, 2010 with the option of providing services for each of the two subsequent fiscal years. Requests for proposals were sent to 26 audit firms and an ad was placed in the Times Argus.
The deadline for the proposals was April 1st. Three bids were received (see documents below)
A committee established by the City Council will review the audit proposals, interview the firms and make a recommendation to the Council. The Council will take action on accepting audit services during their regular City Council meetings.
