Volunteers Needed for Sidewalk Stewards

Volunteers Needed for Sidewalk Stewards Initiative

Sidewalk Stewards, the volunteer effort to monitor the conditions of Montpelier’s sidewalks, is in need of more volunteers for the winter season! It is particularly important to monitor sidewalks throughout the winter, as ice and snowfall will greatly affect safety and walkability. For best results, winter monitoring must be done more than once. We need more volunteers to help lessen the load on those sidewalk stewards who have already volunteered, and to ensure that all of the sidewalks are monitored. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated, even if you can only monitor the sidewalks near your home. For more information, call Harris Webster, 223-7399.
