Request For Proposals:
Redevelopment of 58 Barre Street

The City of Montpelier is requesting proposals for the redevelopment of 58 Barre St.. Plans for the 25,000 sq ft building (+/-), partially damaged by a recent fire, must include the relocation of The Montpelier Senior Activity Center back into the original 10,000 Sq ft (+/-) space that they occupied with a long term lease/ownership position. For the remaining 15,000 sq ft (+/-) the City Council has a preference for housing but will consider any realistic proposals that provide an economic or community benefit to the City. Limited building plans and a recent building architectural building evaluation by Gossens Bachman Architects are available in digital form from the City Planning and Community Development office.

Submissions should be directed to the Planning Dept. with letters of interest due by January 15th, 2010 and proposal outlines for review by February 1st. There will be a building walk through for any interested parties on January 7th at 1pm.
