The Historic Preservation Commission drafted new Design Review Guidelines available here, which help in explain how to apply the City’s Design Review Regulations and the benefits of historic preservation. These Guidelines replaced the prior Cityscape Workbook .
We recommend the online version of the Guidelines where all the levels and information can be viewed, including the details available by clicking on "i" buttons and numbered detail Guidelines that appear on the right-hand side of many of the pages. However, printed copies are also available for viewing at the Planning and Community Development Department's Office in the basement of City Hall, or you can download this static PDF version.
The Guidelines were financed in part with federal funds from the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, through the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation. However, the contents are opinions do not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the Department of the Interior.
