Request for Proposal Issued - August 17, 2023
The Montpelier Planning and Community Development Department, in conjunction with the Montpelier Historic Preservation Commission (MHPC), has issued an RFP inviting proposals to identify the extent of Montpelier’s historic resources. The concluding report will identify those structures within the City of Montpelier, including bridges or other non-habitable structures, that should be considered for listing as contributing on the National or State Registers of Historic Places. This will help the MHPC set priorities for future detailed surveys and nominations, as well as give the Montpelier Planning Commission, City Council, and the general public a broader perspective on the City’s historic resources.
This project is funded in part with a 2023 Certified Local Government Program Grant of $7,200, under provisions of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, and as administered by the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation.
Questions on the project, and responses to the RFP, should be sent to Montpelier's Planning and Zoning Administrator, Meredith Crandall, at mcrandall@montpelier-vt.org. See the complete Request for Proposal below for details, including deadlines for proposal submissions and budget.
