The Montpelier City Pool is scheduled to open in early July, and Pool Passes are now on sale.

Due to COVID-19 and staff vacancies, fewer recreation programs are offered at this time but are gradually coming back! Programs are run in accordance with State and City COVID-19 guidelines.  Our office is currently closed to members of the public for in-person business but will re-open this summer. Our Capital Kids Afterschool Program continues to operate out of the old River Rock School at 46 Barre St. More information on our Licensed Afterschool Program is below. The Montpelier City Pool will be opening for the 2021 summer season, but may be operating differently than in previous years. At the April 14th Council meeting- Council directed staff to come up with a few plans to open the pool that allow for COVID safety guidelines and safety considerations for the Summer Camp programs. Staff will be presenting their opening options to Council for a decision at the April 28th Council meeting. Stay tuned for more information!
