Ultimate Frisbee Camps
Session 1: July 15th - July 19th
Session 2: August 5th - August 9th

Whether you are a beginner or know all about Ultimate Frisbee, this day camp will help stretch your skills. Over the course of the week we will work on catching, throwing, strategy, knowledge of the game, speed and of course we will play a lot of Ultimate! Participants should plan to bring their own water bottles and dress appropriately to run around outside.

Tennis Camps & Lessons
DIRECTOR: Scott Barker
The Vermont Tennis Academy is designed to help beginners to advanced players reach their maximum potential in a very short period of time. The Academy offers low and high performance tennis training for all ages and abilities. Scott’s experience as a tennis professional includes teaching beginners, intermediates and advanced players as well as high school, college, and professional level players. Scott has won over 60 combined singles and doubles tournaments and has worked with former world champions: John McEnroe, Jimmy Conners, Bjorn Borg, and Stan Smith.All participants will be divided into groups by age and skill level.The Academy offers match play statistics, ball speed clinics, as well as match strategy. Camps are hosted at the Courts near the pool on Elm Street.
Camps run each week Monday - Friday from 9am - noon

*Absolutely all participants MUST be registered before arriving to lessons or camps. Participants that are not registered at the time will not be permitted to participate and will be excused from tennis. There are no exceptions. This is for each child’s safety and well-being. Registration are accepted at the Montpelier Recreation Department. No registrations are collected at the courts.
Mountaineers Baseball Camps:
Session 1: June 24 - June 27

Fee: $100 Per Session
Camps Run Monday - Thursday 9am - noon.
The Mountaineers’ Baseball Camps will be held at the Montpelier Recreation Field and will be run by the Mountaineers' coaching staff and players. Campers will receive general baseball instruction in all aspects of the game. In addition to camp instruction, every camper will receive two game tickets, a team yearbook and a Mountaineers t-shirt. The campers will also take the field with the Mountaineers prior to a home game.
The campers will be divided into age groups, so that all will receive instruction that is beneficial to improving their skills. Our professional staff of experienced coaches and dedicated players will provide an opportunity to learn the game, as it should be played, with a low coach to camper ratio.

The VFA Day Camp in Montpelier features five days of excitement and challenge. The focus of camp is enhancing a passion for the sport with a positive learning environment couple with excellent skills training and fun competitions.
Players will work on technical training to improve their skills,compete in fun challenges to test themselves, and play in a week long world cup format tournament. This will give beginners to advanced players the opportunity to learn about the game and themselves along side current and former Catamount standouts.

Through games, songs, short plays, sports, improv, and art, children will be listening to, and communicating in the target language for the whole day.

Brigitte Savard is a native speaker of French, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Brigitte earned a Masters in Education from Antioch University, NH. With over 15 years of teaching French in public and private schools, Brigitte has developed a teaching style that is student-centered, dynamic and fun. Brigitte enjoys playing with her two boys and getting outside for a hike, a swim, or a ski.
Carlos Reyes is a native Spanish speaker from Uruguay who believes that languages are keys to open new worlds and new adventures in life. With several years of experience teaching languages, Carlos has decided to offer New England and its beautiful communities the opportunity to learn about new cultures and share this gift of knowing other languages. He plays drums and loves soccer and and coached Montpelier students for the past few years.
