City of Montpelier property tax bills are sent out in mid-July each year. This is the only tax bill that property owners will receive. If property is sold, the tax bill should be given or forwarded to the new owner at the time of the closing.
City of Montpelier sends out water and sewer bills quarterly to its customers. Bills are based on usage determined by the reading of water meters and are due on March 15th, June 15th, September 15th and December 15th. If the payment date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, the payment is due the first business day after the weekend or holiday.
