July 12, 2018, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Alumni Hall
The Central VT Public Safety Authority (CVPSA) Board of Directors want you to come to a community listening session about consolidating the dispatching services currently being provided by the Montpelier and the Barre City Police Departments.
The CVPSA Board of Directors are conducting outreach to understand the community’s feelings and concerns about combining dispatching services. The current plan is to remove the dispatching staff from the police departments and move them into one center. Combining of staff will result in dispatching efficiencies it will also require alternatives to be developed in keeping open the police departments. How does the community feel about not have staff in the police departments available for walk in traffic on a 24-hour basis? Your comments will help us formulae a plan to address this and other issues. We look forward to seeing you then, and if you have any questions, please call Francis (Paco) Aumand, CVPSA Executive Director, at 747-8611.
