November 20, 2019, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Montpelier Senior Activity Center
All are welcome to join this discussion group--an exploration of what it means to be white in a multi-cultural, multi-racial world. "Seeing White" is from a podcast series, Scene on Radio, out of Duke University, produced and hosted by John Biewen.
Dr. Chenjerai Kumayika serves as a critical partner with John in analyzing how racist structures have become institutionalized in America. Local resident, John Turner, is volunteering his time to facilitate the discussions.
Advanced registration is required. Listening assignments for each date will be distributed to you upon registration. Please sign up early to have time to listen to the podcasts! Call our office at 223-2518 or stop by at 58 Barre Street in Montpelier, 9-4, M-F to pre-register. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For you to get the most out of the discussions, it is very important that you listen to the assigned episodes before each Wednesday meeting. Listen at: http://www.sceneonradio.org/seeing-white
