The Northern Studies Science Center is located in Churchill, Manitoba, 58 degrees N, 94 degrees W, on the edge of the Hudson Bay. Barb and Whit volunteered at the Center for three weeks in May 2017. They wanted to experience life in the Arctic and learn about what life is like for the plants and animals of the North. They invite you to consider what the Arctic means to you and hope that you'll share you comments and questions during this presentation.
This is not intended to be a discussion focused on climate change but on the people and environment of the near Arctic at the time they were there. They will also share some slides from their time up North.
Both Barb and Whit are former teachers who enjoy learning about and meeting people of other cultures.
